National Social Protection Agency (NSPA) has apologized after publicizing private information about a patient.
The statement regarding the patient was removed from social media X before NSPA offered the apology on Tuesday night.
"Although this statement does not disclose the identity of the patient, it contains information about the assistance provided by this agency to the patient which is not appropriate and the agency apologizes for publicizing such information," NSPA said.
Details of the assistance provided to a cancer patient were publicized after a social media user posted on X to criticize the new management of NSPA.
According to the NSPA statement to deny the allegations on the X posts, the agency had continued to provide assistance as per the rules.
