A severely injured man found in the sea near Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital (IGMH) died on Wednesday night.

Police confirmed his death while undergoing treatment at IGMH. Police have not disclosed the man's identity.

In a message shared with the media, police said the man had serious head injuries believed to have been caused by a collision with a vessel.

A video posted on social media shows the man was conscious and moving when rescued from the sea and transferred to the ambulance.
