Foreign Minister Dr. Abdulla Khaleel has commended Indian High Commissioner Munu Mahawar for his pivotal role in enhancing bilateral ties.
Mahawar paid a farewell call to Khaleel on Wednesday morning.
During the meeting, Khaleel acknowledged the support of the Indian government for transformative projects in the Maldives.
He highlighted milestones such as the RuPay card, the introduction of UPI and local currency trade agreements to boost economic cooperation.
High Commissioner Mahawar conveyed his appreciation to the Maldives government for the support and partnership extended during his tenure.
He also expressed confidence in the continued growth and prosperity of relations between the Maldives and India.
The Indian government recently announced G Balasubramanian as the incoming High Commissioner to the Maldives.
