President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has inaugurated the Victory Day Exhibition 2024 by the Maldives National Defence Force (MNDF).
Following the inauguration this morning, President Muizzu toured the exhibition at the National Art Gallery.
The exhibition showcases the damage caused by the terrorist attack on November 3, 1988, and highlights the bravery displayed by the armed forces.
It features over 200 displays and includes photographs, original weapons and items used on November 3, 1988.
The exhibition will take place at the National Art Gallery from November 3 to 9.
First Lady Sajida Mohamed and Vice President Hussein Mohamed Latheef, senior military officials, Cabinet ministers and senior Government officials attended the inauguration ceremony.
This year's Victory Day celebrations began with Fajr prayers held in congregation followed by the flag and guard mounting ceremony at the Victory Day Monument.
