A crane overturned in Hulhumale' Phase Two today, but no one was injured, police have said.

Videos circulating on social media showed the crane overturned onto a vacant plot of land near the Vinares flats.

Police said the incident had been reported and no one was injured. It is unclear which company the crane belonged to and what work it was doing at the time of the incident.

Photos sent to Adhadhu by members of the public from the area showed the crane was damaged in the incident.

The road has been closed due to the incident and police are active in the area.
