US conducts course on investigating terrorism crimes

The United States has conducted a course for the Maldives police on investigating terrorism crimes.

The US Embassy in Maldives congratulated the police officers who completed the Management of Terrorist Investigations course.

"The US is proud to partner with Maldives to make our countries safer," the embassy stated in a post on X.

According to the National College of Policing and Law Enforcement, a total of 24 police officers completed the course. They are all senior police officers involved in terrorist investigations.

Participants learned strategic planning and management skills essential for directing complex investigations.

Anand Krishna, Acting Deputy Chief of Mission was the chief guest at the closing ceremony for the week-long course.

The course was conducted in collaboration with the National College of Policing and Law Enforcement and the US Embassy.
