Maldives Ambassador to India Aishath Azeema has presented her credentials to Indian President Smt. Droupadi Murmu.

Her credentials were presented at a special ceremony at the Presidential Palace in New Delhi today.

During the meeting held after the ceremony, Azeema thanked India for its continued assistance to the Maldives.

Azeema previously served as First Secretary and Minister Counselor of the High Commission of Maldives in India.

She also served as Additional Secretary, Director and Joint Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

This year marks the 60th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Maldives and India.
